The best self-hostable AI models in the world, operated entirely on European soil — by European providers, under EU data-protection law. We pick the strongest one for each task, never a model only reachable through a single company's own service. European partners, not necessarily European-built models. Here is exactly what runs where.
Every function above runs on European infrastructure, operated by European providers, under EU data-protection law. We run the best self-hostable AI models in the world for each task — never one only reachable through a single company's own service. Your data is processed and stored in Europe, and every company we hand it to is a European company. "Best" is measured, not asserted: every candidate model is tested against the one already running — same tasks, same day — and must match or beat it on tool use, on all 27 languages, and on values before it serves anyone. The full method is published research, linked from gdprchat.eu/transparency.
Who owns the machines?
Every company we hand your data to is European and bound by EU law. Some of them buy computing capacity from companies that are not European-owned, operating machines inside Europe — Mistral, which serves most chat answers today, publishes Microsoft and CoreWeave on its own supplier list. Your data is processed and stored in Europe either way, no supplier may use it for their own purposes, and none may train on it. Where whole-chain ownership matters we are already moving: code generation runs at Scaleway and image generation at IONOS, and both run the models on their own infrastructure rather than renting capacity from a US-owned company. This page always shows the current state.
